Kent Marsh, one of four cobblers in the Syracuse area, represents a dwindling population of skilled laborers in the U.S.. Marsh has been a boot maker for more than 20 years and learned his trade in Texas. Most U.S. manufacturers have outsourced the production of footwear to China.
