After traveling with friends on an overnight bus trip from Auburn In., Mercedes Gamer, 17, participated in the ÒSeptember 15th March on Washington.Ó ÒMy parents know IÕm here nowÓ said Gamer as she carried her sign down Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington D.C

The protest was organized by various anti-war organizations including Code Pink, Move On.org, and The ANSWER Coalition. More than 80,000 people participated in the rally. The demonstration concluded with a march on the U.S. Capitol where 82 people were arrested.
